Biltong Hunting at Li-Con-Ja Game Farm:

Hundreds of years ago, before the advent of fridges and freezers existed, people preserved their hunts by curing it in salt and spice blend before drying the meat. Today’s meat is much more sophisticated and we like to believe, so much more delicious. We make use of more sophisticated methods, flavors and technology to bring us better flavors. If you are a biltong aficionado, you will definitely enjoy hunting for your very own piece of choice meat, which is an option at Li-Con-Ja Game farm, where we now offer Biltong Hunting. (Biltong Jag)

What is a Biltong Hunting Safari?

At Li-Con-Ja Game Farm, we offer premium hunting services as part of our wildlife conservation services and preservation efforts, we offer special biltong hunting packages which are aimed at controlling the wildlife population through a realistic approach.

This does not exclude hunting for fresh plains game meat. It is just that most hunters occasionally enjoy snacking on a piece of biltong but you can use your meat for any dish imaginable!

As for our biltong hunters, they receive the same level of service and hospitality as that of our Trophy Hunters here at Li-Con-Ja Game Farm, from accommodation to the game outfitters and so much more! Non-hunting companions can relax in the Lodge area where there is DSTV available, a Pool Table or they could even go for a tranquil walk within the Lodge terrain

Hunting at Li-Con-Ja Game Farm:

An old kudu bull roams the African bushveld; his horns stand tall, his stripes are starting to fade, and his eyes are now mellowed compared to the days of his youth. He no longer has a herd of females to symbolize his prowess. All he has left is time. The time before winter arrives, for he knows he will not survive its onslaught. His teeth are now a distant memory. His story will end in one of two ways. He can either die a slow and prolonged death due to starvation or his legacy can live on. Older, fully mature animals are the ideal game to be hunted. The animals that are hunted have bred; they have left their genetic mark in their species, these animals are farmed in a sustainable manner and given the best quality of life, for in death they give life to all in the surrounding area.

The hunt is about being surrounded by trees and hearing birds. It’s about the fresh air and the absence of a modern society. It allows for mercy to be shown to an animal destined to die of starvation, and through that the animal lives forever. Not just as a trophy but as a smile, a memory and a crucial key to the future generations of all species, in the area.

Our farm is ideally located to give you access to different species which thrive in diverse habitats. Most of the hunting takes place at Li-Con-Ja Game Farm, where we have the most plains game species, including Springbuck, Kudu, Eland, Wildebeest, Oryx and more. You also have the option to hunt exotic game like Black Impala, Sable, Saddleback Impala, Gnu, Geel-Blesbok and Dangerous game like Buffalo.

Professional Hunting teams will accompany you on your hunting trip, providing assistance with fields services, tracking, basic skinning and packing of your meat, using of our slaughtering facilities and cold-room on the farm.

We have many testimonials of happy hunters and are more than willing to supply, if need be, so don’t delay and book your biltong hunting safari today!
